Job Training and Basic Life Updates

I’ve stepped away from the blog for about 10 days now, even though here and there I’ve posted a couple of random things that I found interesting.  Last week I served in leadership at iNstitute, a United Methodist Youth Ministry event here in the Kansas East Conference.  iNstitute is a summer camp experience for high school students which is held at Baker University in Baldwin City, KS.  This was my third summer to serve on staff.  The theme this year was iBelieve, and I’m pretty confident in saying that it was the most intense and transformative week of iNstitute I’ve been part of since I began taking part in this event.

Right now I’m updating my blog from a job training for First Student.  In order to keep up a revenue stream while writing my thesis I signed on with a bus company to drive in my town.  I plan to journal through some of my experiences driving kids to and from school.  I also plan to drive on field trips and sports trips when they’re available, and I have the feeling there will be many lessons to be learned from providing this service.
