I’ve stepped away from the blog for a few days to prepare and take my comprehensive exams at KU. This past Friday I completed the written portion, and face my oral exam on Thursday. Molly and I also took a SSI dive instruction course this weekend, which was fun. We’ll complete the open water portion of our dive certification during an upcoming vacation.
Here a few links I’ve come across recently that I believe are worthwhile. Check ‘em out.
- N.T. Wright, “Heaven is Not Our Home”
- Harris Interactive Research on Trends in Teen Internet Social Networking (PDF)
- Email 10 Commandments
- Man Asks Court to Change His Name to ‘In God We Trust’ (FoxNews)
- “Paper Clips” (Watch the Trailer)
- Mark Holland on the Human Sexuality Debate in the UMC (Day 9 is worth reading as well)
- For gaming phanatics, you won’t believe this.
- Would a Modern Day McGyver Still Use a Swiss Army Knife?
- Buy art.
- A great idea from Andrew Conard…buy books. Even if you don’t want anything off his list, this may be something you would like to replicate.
Thanks to all who’ve stopped by in recent weeks. I’ve appreciated the comments and the interaction. There is more to come.

Thanks for the link and providing the links
20×200 looks pretty sweet.
Looking forward to watching Paper Clips as soon as it arrives at my doorstep….
I don’t know that McGyver would use a Swiss Army Knife or a Leatherman. He’d probably just make one out of a spoon, some masking tape and a potato.
