What follows is some interesting commentary I stumbled upon today. This post comes from The Frame Problem, a person who has commented on religion and culture. He includes a Gallup poll that shows perceptions of religious groups. Some of my friends who check in here will be pleased to see that Methodists are generally perceived positively. Hmm…if Methodists are so well-liked (in comparison, that is), then why does our denomination seem to be declining, whereas some of the lesser-liked groups are not? Interesting…
Good question. My immediate response to seeing Methodists at the top of this list was, “Well, that’s a good thing…or is it?”
